Requirements for using pre-existing equipment with our POS software
Our POS system works with much of the POS equipment you already have.
This is a list of minimum requirements for your pre-existing equipment.
Pre-existing Equipment Host computer requirements:
- DVD Drive for backups
- Minimum of 512mb of RAM(1Gb preferred)
- Speed minimum 1Ghz
- Fax Modem
- Gigabit ethernet port
- Hard drive free space of 10 Gb
Other Computer Requirements:
- Minimum of 512 mb RAM (512mb preferred)
- Speed minimum of 1Ghz
- Gigabit ethernet port
- Hard drive free space of 10Gb
Compatible Printers:
- Dot Matrix
- Color laser printer
Monitor Requirements:
- Minimum 15" with resolution of at least 1024 X 768
Cash Register Equipment:
- Barcode Scanners: Keyboard wedge or USB connection
- Magnetic strip reader: Keyboard wedge or USB connection that reads track 1, 2, & 3
- Receipt Printer: Serial or USB connection
- Cash Drawer: Must connect to the receipt printer
- Pole Display: Epson emulated compatible and Serial port or USP to a redirected comport
