How easy is your POS system to use?
Very easy, no prior computer experience is necessary.
Can the Primary computer be used as a functional system?
Yes, it can actually be set up for use as an office machine or a cash register system.
If I have existing hardware can I just buy the software?
Yes, providing your existing hardware meets our minimum requirements. We are happy to work with what you have.
How long does an installation take?
Generally a few days depending on the number of systems purchased.
How much are your annual dues for your phone support, internet support, access to the online training, new modules and updates?
One year of technical support, and software updates is included with your purchase. For ongoing Services the subscription include all new modules and updates, on-line access to the tutorials, along with phone & internet support.

What is the Annual Development Questionnaire?
Because you are the most important person in enhancing RB Control Systems we value your opinion. The simple questionnaire will be mailed to you approximately 6 months after your installation and should take no more than 15 minutes of your time.
How much do I have to pay for updates & new modules?
No additional charge! All updates and new modules are included in your annual dues. They are also no charge for the first 12 months.
How difficult is it to do your updates?
You do not have to do anything when we have an update. Our updates are done automatically through the internet or we send them directly to your Primary computer and each user automatically updates from your Primary computer. You dont have to do a thing.
What are fun passes?
Customized (with your store name and logo) ID cards for your customers to carry on their key chains. Each Fun Pass is barcoded to quickly & easily access your customers account. The Fun Passes are also key to a great built in loyalty program.
What type of training do you offer?
Our staff is available at your convenience for one-on-one or group online training - and help - as you start using, and continue using the program. You and your staff have unlimited access to our online video tutorials. We will send a workbook for each employee, and as you hire new employees, you can print as many workbooks as you need from your Dealer Log-in on our web site. We also offer the option of on-site training.
Do you help train new employees?
Yes, we offer an online tutorial included with your support package. The training is very detailed and is ideal for new employees to learn the sections of the program you want them to learn. The training is also available as a refresher course for existing employees. The online training is available any time and you have unlimited access to it.
What are your hours of support?
Our hours of support are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm EST. During off hours you can always reach our answering services. We have a support technician on call in the mornings, Saturday, and Sunday for emergencies.
How much does RB Control Systems cost?
The price varies depending on whether you have some or all of the hardware and how many systems you need. The largest expense is for the Primary system because of all that it includes. The price will then decrease for each additional user (We offer financing & leasing). We have a complete price list if you would like one. There is a package suitable for everyone.
What is included in your Primary software?
RB Control Systems software license for your Primary computer, installation via the internet by RB Control Systems technicians. It also includes 12 months of phone & internet support and unlimited access to the online tutorial.
My store is open all year round, how much down time will I have in changing to your system?
If you have pre-existing customer lists & inventory we can have your store up & running in approximately one day. If you do not have any pre-existing lists, the time varies depending on how much you want to pre-set in the system.
How soon can I have it installed?
We need three weeks prior to the installation once we receive your deposit so that we have time to import your customer and inventory data. It is a good idea to plan ahead since most installations are done in the winter months and we book quickly. You will want to give yourself and your staff at least a month or two prior to the busy season to set up, learn and become familiar with your new system.
What are your payment terms?
We have special early buy terms on our software. We require a 25% down payment on the software to order your job depending on the time of year you purchase. Payment on hardware is due upon ordering. Leasing and financing are available.
What accounting package is included?
We recommend QuickBooks® or Peachtree® accounting software because our program will make automatic entries into both. We dont include an accounting program with our package, but it can be easily used with any accounting program on the market.
How many alternate part numbers in inventory can you have?
You can have an unlimited amount of alternate part numbers, barcodes, and vendors.
How do I create Barcode labels?
Its easy to create any size label you want through the Inventory or Receiving module. The labels will print directly to your laser printer or you can choose to print to a barcode printer.
What is a VPN Router?
Virtual Private Network. A VPN is a collection of private data and voice networks utilizing the public communications infrastructure. VPNs operate on the premise of tunnels, which protect the data from external threats, utilizing predetermined parameters. The goal of a VPN is to offer the same services to both internal and authorized external personnel.
Why do you recommend I have at least two users?
One computer for a cash register system so that lines move faster in your store without interruptions. A second computer is ideal for office work, time clock, data entry, checking e-mail and so much more!
What is the difference in laser printers?
If there is a letter N after the model number it means the printer is a network printer. Network printer means that the printer is a stand alone machine; It does not require a direct connection to any computer. If you do not have a network printer, the computer of which the printer is connected needs to stay on all the time for the printer to work. Other differences include start-up time, speed, page load, and toner efficiency.
What kind of wireless service do I need to use the wireless options of your program?
There are different types of wireless internet connections. To use our mobile service software in the field you will need to connect to an internet provider, an aircard, or a unit that will connect to a Bluetooth® enabled cell phone with internet capabilities. To use the handheld units in the store or warehouse, you will need a Wifi internet connection at your business.
Do I need a server (Hardware) to run RB Control Systems software?
Only if you have more than 10 computers on your network and/or you want to purchase the mobile in field service licenses.
